When you’re starting a vegan diet, it can come full of tasty and healthy recipes, especially if you’re using an air fryer! But how can you choose which ones are the best and the easiest to cook?

No worries, we gotcha! We have made a little list on our Instagram talking about some of our favorite vegan dishes for air fryers. Now, we’re here to teach how to recreate those easy vegan recipes using our favorite kitchen counter appliance!

1- Taco Crunch Wrap

Preparing: 10 min.
Baking: 20 min.
Serves 4-5 people

Ingredients:

  • Whole wheat burrito tortillas
  • Taco Seasoning
  • Vegan Nacho Cheese Sauce / Substitute Vegan Cheese of Choice
  • Black beans
  • Jalapeños
  • Cooked Brown Rice
  • Avocados
  • Grape tomatoes
  • Yellow onion

Optional:

  • Mexican Potato Taco Filling
  • Lentil Taco Meat
  • Tofu Taco filling
  • Cauliflower filling
  • Grilled or roasted vegetables
  • Vegan Cream Cheese
  • Salsa (for dipping)

Preparing:

  • Warm the tortilla for a few seconds in the microwave to make it easier to bend
  • Lay the tortilla on a flat surface
  • Add your filling to the center (You can go crazy here)
  • Hold the first fold, and continue around the circumference of the tortilla, folding the corners as you go.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees
  • Spray some olive oil on the basket of the air fryer
  • Place the crunch wrap seam down in the base of the air fryer
  • Cook for 7 minutes at 350 degrees and flip the tacos
  • Cook for 3 minutes more
  • Serve them tacos!

2- Baked Apples With Walnuts

Preparing: 5 min.
Baking: 8 min.
Serves 4 people

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium apples
  • 2 tablespoons oats
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 2 tablespoons walnuts chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Preparing:

  • Combine the oats, raisins, brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon in a medium bowl
  • Stir in the melted butter until the ingredients are combined
  • Set the bowl aside
  • Prepare the apples by cutting the tops of them off along with the stem
  • Cut a small part of the bottom of the apple as well, so it stands up without shifting or rolling.
  • Use an apple corer, melon baller, or paring knife to scoop out the apple core and remove all seeds
  • Spoon the mixture into the cored apples until they are filled
  • Place the filled apples into the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry apples at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes until the apples reach your desired softness.
  • Let apples cool just enough to remove from the basket
  • Serve warm (vegan whipped cream on top is a bonus!)

3- Kale and Potato Nuggets

Preparing: 33 min.
Baking: 20 min.
Serves 3 people

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups finely chopped potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil or canola oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 4 cups loosely packed coarsely chopped kale
  • ⅛ cup almond milk
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Vegetable oil spray as needed

Preparing:

  • Add the potatoes to a large saucepan of boiling water
  • Cook until tender, about 30 minutes.
  • In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat
  • Add the garlic and sauté until golden brown
  • Add the kale and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes
  • Transfer to a large bowl
  • Drain the cooked potatoes and transfer them to a medium bowl
  • Add the milk, salt, and pepper and mash with a fork or potato masher
  • Transfer the potatoes to the large bowl and combine with the cooked kale
  • Preheat the air fryer to 390°F for 5 minutes.
  • Roll the potato and kale mixture into 1-inch nuggets
  • Spritz the air fryer basket with vegetable oil
  • Place the nuggets in the air fryer and cook for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown, shaking at 6 minutes.

4- Buffalo Cauliflowers

Preparing: 10 min.
Baking: 15 min.
Serves 3 people

Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 1 cup water – you’ll create a batter with water, flour, and spices to coat the cauliflower
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Paprika, to taste
  • Salt and Black pepper, to taste
  • Buffalo-style wing sauce

Preparing:

  • Wash the cauliflower and chop it into medium-sized florets. (Try cutting them the same size)
  • Pat dry and set aside.
  • Whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper into a large bowl.
  • Add the cauliflower florets to the flour mixture and toss to coat.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400ºF
  • Add the coated cauliflower florets to the air fryer basket in a single layer
  • Cook them for about 10 minutes / until crispy, flipping halfway.
  • Serve them!

5- Spicy Sweet Potato Fries

Preparing: 10 min.
Baking: 15 min.
Serves 3 people

Ingredients:

  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
  • Ground black pepper to taste

Preparing:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 C)
  • Cut the sweet potato into fries
  • Place the sweet potato fries in a large bowl
  • Drizzle with olive oil, then add brown sugar, salt, chili powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, and pepper
  • Stir until potatoes are evenly coated
  • Spread out onto the air fryer rack
  • Cook on the upper rack of the preheated air fryer for 15 to 20 minutes or until browned and crispy
  • Serve them!
