We don’t know about you, but for us, Pinterest is and has been, for a long time, a reference when we think about a trend-setting website that will help you discover (or make you even more confused since there are so many new things to see on Pinterest) your style. Talking about anything you can imagine, like tattoos, home decor, plants, clothing, graphic design…: There’s a great world inside Pinterest and we are going to be focused on one of its most popular niches: Home Design Trends.

These trends listed below are not unexpected because they suck, or something. Mostly, they are a bunch of gorgeous, bold trends that might break the habit of having clean, minimalist home decor. If those suit your personal style, go for them! They’ll be a hit next year and, possibly, for a few more others.

1- Modern Gothic Style

It seems like the gothic style is becoming popular once again. Largely influenced by the Goth subculture, this is a trend that has been present and popular in almost all decades of the past century. It encompasses different industries; music, clothing, and then, of course, interior design. Interior design associated with dark and monochromatic color schemes can also be seen in kitchen decoration.

A new revival of the Gothic style is happening and trending (again) in architecture, design, and lifestyle, coming from a long-gone tradition, in 2023. We can wait to see you recreate this style in your home decor!

2- Shop Design Trends

Your business signage is your first impression. It conveys information about your products and services, keeps your customers informed of new promotions, displays who you are, presents offerings, and inspires through design. There are various kinds of signs which include logos and pictures, letters, advertisements, window decals, banners, door hangers, window clings, and more.

3- Biophilic Decor

Biophilic design is gaining popularity due to its positive physical and mental effects on the person using the space. With warmer temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere encouraging the use of natural green spaces, the home interior is being designed to mimic these effects.

But what exactly is biophilic design? Well, it’s a style of architecture that incorporates nature into indoor spaces! And the more natural elements you bring in the happier our bodies tend to get.

4- Checked Pattern Trends

The love affair between the checked motif and the digital influencers is going strong in 2022 and it’s going to get even stronger next year! Not only in home decor, but also in fashion!

This retro pattern is making its comeback into our homes, fortunately! Such a 50s vibe, vibrant and balanced. You can use it either in black and white or with other mixed colors, it’s going to look cool either way. Transform your place with this remarkable pattern and be prepared for the compliments!

5- Curvy Design

The recent survey by Pinterest proves that curvy is “in” right now. According to their research, furniture with curves (or at least the style of it) is much more popular now than it was years before.

People are choosing to get rid of the standard, rectangular shapes and investing in pieces that look very different. Curved furniture and decor items can be found everywhere; from small accent tables, s-shaped chairs, lamps, and lighting to full-sized beds. Plus, it’s a trend that seems to have no bounds and that is certainly not going away anytime soon.

6- Modern Luxury Trends

According to Pinterest, 2023 will be the year where new ways of luxury will be explored. Inside our homes, for example, with new ideas and makeovers to bring a twist of luxury in unpredicted places such as service rooms – bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms to name a few.

It’s simply a modern, cheaper way to bring some luxury to your decor. To recreate it, you can bet on a mix of dark colors and clear colors, and some golden details.

7- Hellenism

This is the most surprising, yet, the boldest of the trends in this list. Ancient Greek decor was always there, but now they have all the attention, with a little taste of nostalgia, as if Hellenism had always been trending.

You maybe already noticed some Ancient Greek influences everywhere on social media and how people are really excited about this trend. ‘Greek statue art’ searches have tripled and this isn’t a coincidence. Hellenism is here to stay.
