We’re not so sure if you’ve ever heard of the delicious Neapolitan Viennetta but it is definitely worthy of being on your radar from now on! It is a soft, creamy, and light dessert with layers of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry that form the perfect trinity of flavor.

Serves 8-10 people
Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate, melted
- 2L tub Neapolitan ice-cream
- 300ml cream, thickened
- Cocoa powder, to dust
Preparing:
- Line a 7cm-deep, 10 x 20cm loaf pan with plastic wrap (The wrap has to overhang the sides)
- Line with baking paper (The paper has to overhang the long sides)
- Place a large sheet of baking paper on a clean and flat surface
- Trace around the base of the pan to make 6 rectangles
- Use the back of a spoon to spread 1 tbs melted chocolate inside each rectangle
- Set aside until set
- Spoon the strawberry ice cream from the Neapolitan tub into a bowl and set aside for 8-10 minutes to soften slightly
- Spoon half into the prepared pan.
- Spread evenly to level the surface and top with a chocolate rectangle
- Top with the remaining strawberry ice cream and spread evenly
- Top it again with another chocolate rectangle
- Freeze for 1 hour or until firm
- Sauté the chicken until golden brown in a nonstick frying pan, for 4 to 6 minutes
- Spoon the vanilla ice cream into a bowl and set aside for 8-10 minutes to soften slightly
- Spoon half into the pan and spread evenly to level the surface and top with a chocolate rectangle
- Repeat with the remaining vanilla ice cream and another chocolate rectangle. Return to the freezer for 1 hour or until firm
- Remove chocolate ice cream from the freezer and set it aside in the tub for up to 10 minutes to soften slightly
- Spoon half into the pan and spread evenly to level the surface and top with a chocolate rectangle
- Repeat with the remaining chocolate ice cream and chocolate rectangle
- Cover the top with the overhanging baking paper and plastic wrap
- Place in the freezer for about 2 hours (Until firm)
- Beat the cream with a mixer in a bowl until firm peaks form
- Spoon into a piping bag fitted with a flat nozzle
- Turn the cake, chocolate ice cream-side down, onto a serving plate
- Pipe swirls of the cream on top
- Dust thinly with cocoa
- Serve immediately or keep in the freezer until ready to serve.
